This team from Southern Province of Rwanda in Huye district, may reject to play against Police FC as a form of protest over unfair treatment in their recent game against Rutsiro FC.
On Sunday after match against Rutsiro FC, the club wrote to FERWAFA claiming that the referee Ssengiyumva Jean Paul kicked their player Mbonyamahoro Serieux on his private area.
In that letter, they also stated that in the 2-1 defeat to Rutsiro FC , the referee awarded two incorrect Penalties, sent off their coach Nshimiyimana Canisius after giving him Red card, and their two players; Hakizimana Zuberi and Nicolas Sebwato received yellow cards all from that incident of involving the referee allegedly assaulting a player.
Many players of Mukura FC known as MVS requested a review of what happened in their match and asked for the cancellation of the cards they have received during the match. The trusted information we have says that the players refused to train on Monday, citing concerns about their safety.
Meanwhile, on Monday evening, Mukura VS’s official X account announced that the team is scheduled to face police FC on Wednesday.
As of now, FERWAFA has not issued a final decision, following the submission of Mukura Victory Sport’s complaint to the refereeing committee, which met on Monday.
According to Rwanda Premier League regulations, teams pay 5,000 RWF per yellow card received by their player, 20,000 RWF for a straight red card resulting from an in-game foul, and 50,000 RWF for a red card due to misconduct.
A team that fails to show up for a match (forfeits) is considered to have lost 3–0 and is fined 2 million RWF.
